A Voice for Women, By a Woman

Dr. Brostrom proudly represents 19% of plastic surgeons who are women in the United States—a figure that speaks volumes about both her determination and the unique perspective she brings to her work.

As a woman, mother, and surgeon, she deeply understands how personal the decision to pursue surgery can be. From body image after childbirth to the desire to age gracefully or feel aligned in one’s gender identity, Dr. Brostrom offers empathy that surpasses clinical training. She has experienced many of the same life changes her patients face—and it shows in the way she listens, advises, and cares for her patients.

“We carry so much as women—emotionally, physically, and socially. I understand those pressures because I’ve experienced them too. That’s why every patient deserves a safe space, honesty, and a comprehensive plan that respects their story.”

Reviews

“You are more than a procedure—you are a person with a story, and I’m here to listen, care, and help you feel beautifully whole again.”

— Dr. Lisa Brostrom
“After multiple consults around San Antonio, I found Dr. Lisa Brostrom—and thank goodness I did! She and her team are phenomenal. I first had a breast lift and augmentation, then returned for a thigh lift. Both procedures went amazingly, with 24/7 support for any concerns. Dr. Brostrom was always available and incredibly thorough at every pre- and post-op appointment. I’ve referred many to her and will keep doing so.”
Like many people, I met with several surgeons before choosing the right one. But when I met Dr. Brostrom, something just felt right—and I’m so glad I trusted that feeling.

She and her team clearly explained every step of the treatment plan and made sure to schedule the procedure at a time that worked for me. They also thoroughly discussed the risks, which I appreciated, especially since I had some familiarity with them from past procedures.

Surgery day went smoothly, but shortly after, I began experiencing delayed wound healing. Dr. Brostrom didn’t hesitate—she took immediate action, adjusting my treatment as needed. She stuck with me through the process, and after a few months, we saw real progress. Now, we’re just working through some final minor corrections.

Dr. Brostrom’s expertise, compassion, patience, and perseverance made all the difference. Even when progress was slow, she never gave up—and neither did I.
I’m incredibly grateful I listened to my gut, my faith, and put my trust in Dr. Brostrom. I truly believe the outcome wouldn’t have been the same without all three.
