How Does NeoGraft Hair Restoration Work?

Losing your hair can be an upsetting experience that can seem out of your control. You can take back control of your hair growth with NeoGraft hair restoration! The procedure can safely and effectively produce fuller and natural-looking hair. Find out how!

Harvesting the Hair Follicle

NeoGraft hair restoration involves harvesting individual hair follicles from the back of the head for placement. This is a gentle process but will be performed under local anesthesia or sedation to ensure your comfort. For harvesting, a device will be used to punch out the hair follicle, using a gentle suction with no twisting and harsh pulling to ensure the follicle comes out undamaged. No large scar is left, unlike the traditional strip method of hair transplantation. Instead, only tiny harvest sites are left behind that are small enough to heal on their own.

Placing the Follicles

Once enough follicles have been harvested, they will be placed to fill in bald spots and to reshape the hairline. Follicles are placed in the angle, direction, and orientation that will look the most natural. The follicle is placed just below the scalp through tiny slits. The follicles will then take root and begin growing with the rest of your hair.

Waiting for Results

Over the next several months, your transplanted hair follicles will grow with your natural hair. You can then notice thicker, fuller hair and a more youthful hairline! While hair restoration can give effective, lasting results it does not stop future hair loss from occurring. You might need future touch-up sessions to maintain your full head of hair.
