Lisa D. Brostrom, MD, FACS
Lisa D. Brostrom, M.D., FACS has been dedicated to Plastic Surgery from an early age. With exceptional attention to detail, she originally excelled in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan and the University of Texas, Austin, graduating second in her class. She then went on to gain numerous accolades from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, graduating with High Honors in 2000.
Following her Plastic Surgery training in Indianapolis, Dr. Brostrom went on to become Board Certified in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery. Since that time, she has refined her expertise in some of the most innovative techniques available, including aesthetic fat transfer, facial rejuvenation, and breast and body contouring procedures.
A 21-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Brostrom has provided expert care to countless complex patients, including those suffering from combat injuries, civilian trauma, cancerous defects, and congenital anomalies. She served as Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery during Operation Enduring Freedom at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan in 2009 where she treated traumatic injuries and performed cleft surgery for humanitarian outreach. Her final military assignment was as the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, the largest healthcare facility in the Department of Defense. While there, she gained expertise in transgender confirmation procedures and continued to refine her techniques over the full spectrum of Plastic Surgery to include aesthetic surgery. As she retires from military service, she will miss her brothers and sisters in arms, but is excited to offer her artistic eye, attention to detail, and compassionate care to patients presenting to New Image Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Brostrom is particularly passionate about helping children afflicted by cleft lip and palate differences. She chaired the Craniofacial Anomalies Board at Brooke Army Medical Center and led three humanitarian cleft lip and palate missions to Central America in 2017, 2018, and 2019. In 2019, her efforts earned her recognition from the President and Minister of Defense of Guatemala, as well as from the US Ambassador to Guatemala.
A mother of twins, Dr. Brostrom understands the detrimental effects pregnancy can have on a woman’s body and self-esteem. This provides her a unique perspective and increased sensitivity to women’s needs. She is dedicated to helping her patients project their inner beauty and optimize their self-confidence. Dr. Brostrom is one of only 16% of all Board Certified Plastic Surgeons in the United States who are women. She dedicates her time to leadership roles in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons to include the Women in Plastic Surgery Steering Committee.
Well-known for rapid healing times, natural and aesthetic outcomes, and long-lasting results, Dr. Brostrom ensures an honest and compassionate evaluation of her patients’ needs. She is committed to seeing each patient through their aesthetic journey while tailoring her approach to each patient’s unique situation and needs.
