Lower Body Lift

Conveniently located to serve the areas of San Antonio, TX

For men who experience sagging skin and stubborn fat in the lower body, a lower body lift can provide a more sculpted and masculine figure.

What is a Lower Body Lift?

lower body lift involves removal of excess skin and fat all the way around your belt line. The results include a flatter abdomen, reduced “love handles”, and some lift of the buttocks. A lower body lift can remove excess skin and fat to allow more defined muscles and a slimmer figure.

Who is a Candidate?

Candidates for a lower body lift are men who experience loose skin, with or without excess fat, in their lower abdomen and waistline. Men of all ages might experience sagging skin due to heredity, weight loss, or the natural aging process. Candidates must be non-smokers in good physical and mental health to undergo surgery and proper recovery. To be a successful lower body lift candidate, you should be able to keep a positive outlook and realistic expectations.

The Procedure

You will be under anesthesia during your lower body lift procedure. To begin the procedure, an incision will be made encircling the lower abdomen and back. Incisions will be placed where they can be easily hidden under clothes or the natural contour of the skin. Target areas of the body are then contoured and excess skin and tissue are removed. If stubborn fat needs to be removed, liposuction might be used in certain areas. Drains are used to prevent the accumulation of fluids, and the incisions are closed with multiple layers of sutures. The entire procedure usually takes about four hours to complete.

Recovery

After surgery, incisions are dressed with bandages and a support garment will be required to be worn during recovery to minimize swelling and to support the tissues. Some pain, swelling, and bruising are normal following surgery. Pain can be managed with medication prescribed to you by your surgeon. For the first two weeks, patients should rest as much as possible and plan to take this time off work and avoid any strenuous activity. You will be allowed to resume normal activities at about six weeks after surgery. You should follow any post-op instructions provided to you by Dr. Homas or Dr. Brostrom to ensure a full recovery with successful results. True results from your procedure will become more noticeable as swelling decreases. After recovery, you can enjoy your newly contoured figure with a more masculine, defined look!
