Restylane

Conveniently located to serve the areas of San Antonio, TX

Restylane is a hyaluronic acid- based dermal filler formulated to address signs of aging in the face. It works by attracting water under the skin to smooth out lines and wrinkles and add fullness to the lips and hollow areas in the face. There are a number of Restylane formulas used in our office, including:

Who is a Good Candidate?

Individuals over the age of 21 with visible signs of aging such as moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, thinning lips, or lines around the lips can often benefit from Restylane products. Individuals with severe allergies or those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to become pregnant should not receive Restylane injections. A consultation with Dr. Homas or Dr. Brostrom can help to determine if Restylane injections are right for you.

Restylane-L

Formulated with lidocaine to ensure a comfortable treatment experience, Restylane-L can correct facial wrinkles and folds, as well as be used for lip enhancement.

Restylane Silk

Formulated to augment the lips and smooth our wrinkles around the mouth.

Restylane Refyne and Defyne

Are both created with XpresHAn Technology™ to help soften the effects of aging in places including the nasolabial folds and marionette lines.

Restylane Lyft

Created to restore youthful volume in the cheeks, as well as soften facial wrinkles and folds.

The Treatment

Prior to the injection, a topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment areas. Additionally, Restylane fillers are formulated with lidocaine to help ensure a comfortable treatment session. During your Restylane procedure, a small needle or cannula will be used to inject the filler into the targeted area. Treatment usually lasts about 30 minutes, depending on the number of treatment areas.

Recovery and Results

Results from Restylane products are immediately visible and can last from 6-18 months, depending on the filler formula used. Mild swelling, tenderness, bruising, redness, and firmness at the injection site may occur but should resolve with time.
